Last Night’s Show
I’d like to thank everyone who took part in last night’s Assistive Technology Show. In my opinion, last night’s program was one of the better show’s we’ve had in a while — free flowing with lots of user involvement, lots of resources brought to the table and of course the usual bits of comedy that seem to work their way in once in a while. it’s hard to explain, but Ventrilo really seems to create a “round table” effect with users being able to talk simultaneously if needed VS having users queued up to talk one after another.
Unfortunately, the recording did not come out as planned. On the Mac, I use a program called Audio Hijack Pro to create recordings. For whatever reason, Audio Hijack Pro, AHP, recorded the audio from my mic for the duration of the show. Yep, every breath I took, every time I grabbed a quick drink, even that cookie I scarfed down half way through the program, all recorded. I’m going to try and clean up the recording as best I can, especially that cookie section, as many resources were presented. If I’m unable to do this, I’ll record another demonstration of Ventrilo and will get it posted along with all the resources, web sites, etc… mentioned in last night’s show.
Again, thanks to all who participated last night and to all who have helped me make the program a success.
Steve
