We’ve spoken about it on the show, I’ve posted about it on the blog and this week, on the Assistive Technology Show, I’ll be demonstrating the Victor Stream with its new firmware. For those unfamiliar with it, the Victor Stream is a portable device that can be used to read electronic information in a number of formats. Such information might consist of digitized books, magazines, web pages, documents, and much much more. In addition, the Stream can be used for listening to podcasts and music, and for gaining access to digitized NLS books.

Maybe you use a BookPort, BookCourier, or other device for accessing digital material on the go? Certainly the Stream isn’t the only portable way to access digital information, so we’ll be discussing other options as well. As with every show, user participation is encouraged, heck, it’s what makes the show work. So, whether you’re a stream user, someone curious about the stream, a user of another portable device, or just want to learn something new, come join me for this week’s edition of the Assistive Technology Show.

The Assistive Technology Show takes place on Wednesdays between 7:00-9:00 PM, EDT. For more information, or to join the program, please visit http://www.atmaine.com/atshow.

I’m looking forward to bringing you this week’s edition of the Assistive Technology Show.
