No show due to hackers
As mentioned in my blog post of yesterday, Darkstar, the Ventrilo hosting provider I use to host each week’s show has been, well, missing in action. Finally, I have an update on the situation which, although not good, is improving.
Unfortunately, Darkstar seems to have been the recipient of a rather brutal attack by hackers and as such, they have been offline. Currently, they are in the process of restoring servers, a process which I’m hoping will be completed shortly. As things stand, the A T Maine server is in fact up and running, however, administrative options are not yet available and the configuration has defaulted to an original configuration, long since changed. As Darkstar is still in the process of restoring their servers, I feel it best to again cancel this evening’s Assistive Technology show. I’m hoping that Darkstar servers will soon be back online and next week, the show will resume as normal. In the mean time, I will be putting together some short podcasts on various topics, stay tuned for further announcements.
I look forward to again bringing you the Assistive Technology show, hopefully next week.
