If you’ve ever filled out a form on the web, commented on a blog post, or signed up for a Hotmail/Gmail account, you’ve undoubtedly encountered a CAPTCHA. CAPTHAs are those annoying graphics intended to ensure that a human is submitting a form VS a spam bot of some sort. For blind folks, CAPTCHAs may be totally inaccessible while for the visually impaired and heck, just about everyone else on the planet, these graphics can be so distorted as to be almost unreadable. Tonight, on the Assistive Technology show, we’ll look at CAPTCHAs, what they are, why they are and most importantly, what tools exist to enable one to overcome these barriers to web site accessibility. In addition to WebVisum, a tool that’s been out for some time now, we’ll be discussing a really exciting new service, one that works regardless of operating system, browser, assistive technology, disability, or even type of CAPTCHA.

When? The Assistive Technology show takes place between 7:00-9:00 PM, EDT Wednesday evening. Where?
