What’s going on with the show?
As many of you are aware, I’ve had some problems of late bringing you the Assistive Technology show. Specifically, I’ve been plagued with a number of audio-related issues in addition to some other oddities which indirectly have effected the recording of the program. Of course I’m working hard to try and find solutions to these issues, solutions that are stable and which will allow me to again present product demonstrations and other content. In the meantime, however, I’m faced with two options, put the show on hold until I get things figured out, or proceed knowing that audio might crash at any time and shows may not be archived. I’ve given this careful consideration and crazy though it may sound, I think it best to just go ahead come what may. My thinking is that the Assistive Technology show is more than just a technology program, it’s a forum in which participants can discuss technology amongst one another. Peer learning and the sharing of experiences is really what makes the show what it is and I’d hate to lose that just because I’m experiencing audio issues. So, we’ll continue to have the Assistive Technology show with the small caveat that I *may* not be able to podcast each episode until I get everything working stably on my end. Obviously I don’t expect podcast listeners to keep checking for new episodes, so my thought is to post an announcement to the announcements list once new programs are available. Looking at this statistically, this will mean a 100% increase in announcement list traffic, bringing the total number of messages posted per week to two.
