Viruses, spyware, rootkets, daily security bulletins, what’s a person to do? Tonight, on the Assistive Technology show, we’ll discuss computer security: what do you need to know and what threats are real VS hype? And with new security related terms popping up all the time, what does it all mean? Of course most importantly, we’ll discuss what can be done about it all, what solutions exist and just how accessible are they?

Computer security is an issue that effects us all whether we’re heavy Internet users, or just whether we just send the occasional Email. Fortunately, solutions exist for us to protect our computers, solutions that require merely a basic understanding of the types of threats out there.

Also tonight, on the Assistive Technology show, we’ll be holding our 50/50 drawing, the lucky winner might just be you.

When? The Assistive Technology show takes place this evening, Wednesday, between 7:00-9:00 PM, EDT, that’s Thursday morning, 0:00-02:00 UTC. For more information including directions on how to join, please visit the Assistive Technology show homepage, or contact me.

I look forward to seeing you tonight, on the Assistive Technology show.
