Humanware has released the newest version of it’s Stream software, version 2.0.3. Just as I was about to post their announcement, however, I received a second announcement detailing some apparent bugs in this release. I’ll post that second announcement in just a minute, but here are the highlights which, if you’re willing to put up with a few bugs, you can have right now :)

- New dedicated bookshelf to save downloaded podcast audio files

- Audible books will now be announced on its own bookshelf instead of Other Books bookshelf

- Support of electronic Braille (BRF) files placed on the text bookshelf

- Support for Rich Text Format (RTF) files on the text bookshelf

- Support for unprotected Windows Media Audio (WMA version 9)

- Spell mode for text files

- Ability to disable key beeps and sleep messages

I continue to love using my stream and am confident HumanWare will get the bugs and other issues worked out pretty quickly. Even despite the issues, I’m planning to install the software in just a few minutes.
