AT/Perkins Products Announces New Seika Braille Display
Watertown, MA – Adaptive Technology, a division of Perkins Products, is excited to
introduce the new Seika Braille Display at the ATIA Conference in Orlando, FL, on January 28.
This 40-cell refreshable braille display is significantly lower in price than any other display on the
market. In addition, it comes with a generous two-year warranty. The screen reader software
interface works in tandem with the most popular screen readers available. It is lightweight,
compact, portable, and connects to a USB port on an Apple or Windows computer running
Windows XP or Vista.
Louis Braille, the creator of the tactile reading code, was born in January 1809. To celebrate
Braille’s 200th birthday, AT/Perkins Products offers a 10% discount from January 27 through
March 1 for purchases of the Seika Braille Display. Contact us at 978 462 3817 or at
gayle.yarnall@perkins.org .
Gayle Yarnall, a long time braille display user and the director of AT/Perkins Products says,
“Using a refreshable braille display along with a screen reader puts a computer user who is blind
in touch with the written word. Documents, spreadsheets, and web sites come alive when
accessed through braille. I am thrilled to be able to offer a quality 40-cell display at a price that is
more affordable. Moreover, the celebration of the 200th birthday of Louis Braille, the inventor of
the braille code, makes this the perfect time to introduce this terrific new product.”
